Gavin and Laura | Oran Mor
Sometimes you meet couples who just seem to fit perfectly for one another. It’s hard to explain in writing, but hopefully you can see through the photos from Gavin and Laura’s wedding day.
When I first met them in their Glasgow apartment one of the first things they said to me was ” all we want to have is a huge party with everyone closest to us”. The Oran Mor in the heart of Glasgow’s Westend was the ideal location for the celebration. A unique venue with loads of character – just like Gavin and Laura.
The day started for me just across the road from the Oran Mor, at The Hilton where Laura was getting ready with her mum and sister. Laura was in that excited and nervous mood ! The make up girls from Laura Gray were fantastic, not only did they do a fantastic job but they also kept the mood fun with their ” top quality west coast Glasgow banter!” and kept Laura laughing.
Then it was back over the road to meet with Gavin who was already greeting friends and family.. at the bar of course! Gavin is the type of bloke that everyone knows and loves. As his brother Kenny said in his speech, he is just cool. Not in a try hard way – he just is! It was awesome to see him in his tailor made suit, something he spoke excitedly about when we met all those months before the day.
Back over the road once again! Laura was almost ready and looked incredible. The 3 quarter length dress suited her perfectly. Everyone was super excited as the ceremony was about to start. The traffic was busy so we had to wait for the green man to cross the road…
The ceremony itself was one which was intimate, fun and personal to Gavin and Laura. Each saying their own vows to one another.
This is what happiness looks like, you can almost feel it.
Followed by confetti and those important family pictures. I just loved the huge brown doors at the entrance of the building.
I’m not sure what was happening here, perhaps it’s a thing Glasgow girls do on wedding days! Lots of laughter though which is what it’s all about!

Across the road again!! We headed to a more quieter spot to allow Mr and Mrs Wallace time to soak it all in.
Oh the juxtaposition! Its amazing what happens on wedding days. I don’t even think you guys saw this gentlemen.
You got the biggest reception as you were welcomed in as husband and wife.
An evening to remember, note that Laura is now in her dancing shoes.. 🙂
